I am a post-doctoral researcher working on Human African Trypanosomiasis Modelling and Economic Predictions for Policy (HAT MEPP) project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF). Our project aims to support global efforts to eliminate gambiense Human African Trypanosomiasis (gHAT or sleeping sickness) by an integrated tool of mathematical modelling and economic analyses. As a member of the Zeeman Institute for Systems Biology & Infectious Disease Epidemiology Research (SBIDER), I have a great interest in mathematical epidemiology especially in identifying the driving force of observed host infections and exploring effective interventions to interrupt disease transmissions.
