Ruta Sliazkaite

I am a fourth year PhD student working on Geometric Group Theory, supervised by Dr Robert KrophollerLink opens in a new window. My current interests include:

• Ends of graph braid groups;
• Free splittings of finite presentations with commutator relations;
• (In)coherence of certain free splittings with amalgamation;
• Shephard group actions on trees.

Prior to coming to Warwick I studied MSci in Mathematics at the University of Bristol. My fourth year project supervisor was Dr Mark Hagen and I was studying subgroup distortion and Dehn functions.
