LMS Network in Harmonic Analysis and PDE 2009

General Information

This workshop is a one day event in Harmonic Analysis/PDE's funded in part by the LMS Scheme 3 Grant "The UK Harmonic Analysis and PDE's Research Network" and will take place at Warwick University.

All lectures will take place in Room MS.05 (Zeeman Building - Maths Dept)

10:00 - 11:00 - John Andersson - Optimal Regularity for a Torsion Like Problem

11:00 - 11:30 - Coffee Break

11:30 - 12:30 - Roger Moser - Minimizing the maximal Gauss curvature

12:30 - 2:30 - Lunch

2:30 - 3:30 - Jonathan Bennett - Nonlinear Brascamp-Lieb inequalities and applications in harmonic analysis

3:30 - 4:00 - Tea Break

4:00 - 5:00 - Mihalis Dafermos - The black hole stability problem in general relativity

The seminars will be followed by drinks at a local Kenilworth pub and an informal dinner at 7. Venue Harringtons (Kenilworth). Please contact J. Rodrigo if you plan to attend the dinner.
