A Celebration of Golod's Mathematical Legacy
University of Warwick
20-24 April 2026
The conference is to celebrate the contributions of Evgenii Solomonovich Golod (1935-2018), especially in the areas of commutative algebra, group theory, homological algebra, number theory, ring theory and topology. It is generously supported and funded by Dr Alexander Gerko, founder of British trading firm XTX Markets. Dr Gerko was supervised by Golod for his PhD and hopes that this conference will honour Golod's mathematical legacy. It will run from Monday 20 - Friday 24 April 2026 in the University of Warwick's Mathematics Research Centre (MRC).
