Mathematics for Quantum Technologies – KE Hub Workshop

Mathematics for Quantum Technologies – KE Hub Workshop

Workshop Mission

Quantum technologies are advancing rapidly across computing, sensing and communications, but their practical deployment still faces important mathematical challenges, including modelling, inference, optimisation, control and verification.

This workshop will bring together researchers, industry representatives and other stakeholders to discuss these challenges, share practical needs and explore how mathematical sciences can help address them.

The emphasis will be on open discussion, exchanging ideas and building connections across disciplines and sectors.

Outcome

The workshop aims to identify a small number of priority challenges where mathematical research could make a meaningful contribution, together with potential partners and practical next steps.

These outcomes will help guide future activities of the Mathematics for Quantum Technologies Working Group, including focused discussions, collaborative research and knowledge exchange opportunities.
