NEW! Online workshop: Introduction to Technology Enhanced Learning
The workshop provides the opportunity to explore the role of technology in teaching and learning and supports you while you experiment with the available tools, learn about what others have already done and start to consider your own use of technology enhanced learning. The workshop offers a combination of self-study materials and opportunities to encounter others' ideas and reflect on how they compare to your own and should take two to three hours to complete. It is available on the following link: http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/ldc/teaching_learning/coursedirectory/introelearning
I realise that the content of this workshop may be familiar to many of the members of this forum but if you choose to complete it please do let us have any thoughts for future developments.
Teaching in an Internationalised Context
Dr Catriona Cunningham, University of Stirling
Monday 23rd May, 9.30 – 11.30am, Teaching Grid (Library)
Given the increasing numbers of international students, many universities have explored ways of internationalising the curriculum to meet the changing needs and expectations of their students. This session is a taster of what that could look like in your own context. Find out more and book here: http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/ldc/teaching_learning/coursedirectory/voice/
The Research-Teaching Nexus
Dr Natasha Taylor, Sheffield Hallam University
Thursday 9th June, 1.00 – 3.00pm, Teaching Grid (Library)
In this interactive workshop we will explore the relationship between teaching and research from a range of perspectives (academic, student, university), exposing the tensions and synergies between these two pillars of academic work/life. Find out more and book here: http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/ldc/teaching_learning/coursedirectory/rtnexus/
Best wishes,
Emma
