Upcoming position (to be advertised Autumn 2021) for a postdoctoral position (was two, but one filled now), for 2 years, in the field of transport+turbulence in high-beta tokamaks with significant fast-ion content.

Linked to the TDotP programme grant (Oxford, Strathclyde, Warwick, York), and CCFE (JET/MAST-U/STEP).

Will apply Gyrokinetic codes (ORB5/GENE) and theory (including e.g. MHD) to understand how turbulence/transport in reactor tokamak plasmas differs from relatively low-beta current-day devices. How do drift-modes and MHD modes interact?
