Location: Varsity

This event is comprised of 2 parts - the workshop, and the social:

Workshop abstract

One of the most intimidating aspects of job-hunting is the interview. This session will demystify this process. We will cover both general principles of how to give a good interview as well as specific issues that are likely to come up in academic job interviews. This session will have an interactive component in which attendees are paired up to practice responding to realistic interview questions – no prior experience or knowledge about interviewing is assumed. Overall, this session aims to be useful not only for people applying for academic jobs, but for all jobseekers likely to encounter an interview in the future.

The workshop will take place in-person in OC0.04 from 15:00 - 17:00 on Tuesday 7th June.

Following the end of the workshop, Sam and Suzanne will hold a social at 17:30 at Varsity for ALL PGR students. Students do not have to attend the workshop to attend the social, students may attend both or just one of the events.

If you would like to attend either of these events, then please submit the form below at https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/psych/events/preparing_for_interviews_and_pgr_social/ 12:00 noon, Tuesday 31st May. Hope to see you all there!
