PGR Research Day - call for abstracts (Deadline 26 April) - event 21 May
PGR Research Day - Friday 21 May
This event is an opportunity for psychology postgraduates to present their research to an audience of fellow students and academic staff. The purpose of the day is to provide a friendly and supportive environment for practising presentation skills (talks and/or posters), learn about the research being carried out by other students, and gain feedback and recommendations from people in the department.
We invite abstracts (up to 250 words), including title, for talks and posters for the Postgraduate Research Day. The deadline for abstracts is Monday 26th April (5pm). Please note that as part of their course requirements, Clinical Psychology Doctorate students should choose to give either a talk or a poster. MSc Psychological Research students are also invited to present at this event.
Please submit your abstract and your title online: https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/psych/pgresearch/researchday/
Research students are encouraged to give a 10-15 minute talk, followed by 5-10 minutes of discussion (20 minutes total). The content of the talks can be tailored so that it reflects the current stage of your research
We cannot guarantee that you will get to present a talk (it mostly depends on numbers and scheduling) but we will do our best to make sure everyone gets the most out of the day.
Your poster should be presented two ways: (1) as a downloadable image (e.g. as a PDF) and (2) as a short (5 min) video/voiceover where you talk through your poster and work.
Deadline for talk and poster abstracts: 26th April, 5pm
Deadline for poster submissions: 14th May, 5pm
We look forward to hearing from you, please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
All the best,
Janelle Kolas and Arij Yehya
