Expert Talks

Amy Zhang
(MMORSE, 2019) is a Pensions Actuary Manager at PwC. Amy joined PwC’s actuarial pensions team as an intern in 2018 and returned as a graduate in 2019 after completing her MMORSE degree. Since then, she has worked on a wide range of projects in relation to Defined Benefit pension schemes, from liability valuations, financial reporting to advising companies on long-term strategies and preparing pension schemes for insurance transactions.
Amy became exam qualified in 2022, and what she has enjoyed most since then is combining technical actuarial work with consulting - helping clients navigate the evolving pensions landscape, solving problems and translating complex ideas into something clear and actionable. Amy is also passionate about upskilling, training and wellbeing. She has led PwC’s graduate training programme and now supports student actuaries as part of her people management role.

Gulfraz Ahmed
(Maths, 2017) is a Review Actuary at Phoenix Group (more to follow).
