Check-in for Arthur Vick is at Central Campus Venues reception, Senate House. Dinner on Thursday and Friday nights will be in Lakeview Restaurant, Scarman House (same building as the R Dev Day), 7:00-8:30pm.

Travel to campus

Receipts are required to claim travel expenses from your travel budget (where applicable).

From Birmingham Airport

Participants arriving at Birmingham airport are recommended to take the free Air-Rail Link monorail to Birmingham International train station, then catch a train to Coventry train station (single ticket £3.60, pay by cash/card at the ticket office/machine) and a bus to the university as detailed in the next section. A taxi all the way from the airport to the university would be £30-£40.

From Coventry Bus or Train Station

If you have exact change or a contactless payment card (or Apply Pay/Google Pay/etc) you can catch a bus from Coventry bus or train station to Warwick University Interchange (main bus terminal on campus) for £3 single, then it is a few minutes walk to Senate House. Alternatively you can get a taxi/Uber/Bolt from Coventry bus or train station to Senate House for £10-£15.

Arriving on campus

Avoid arriving before 8am, as nothing will be open. Campus cafes and restaurants are operating under restricted vacation opening times, with many outlets closed Saturday and Sunday. However the Warwick Arts Centre building should be open every day till late (comfy, quiet places to sit) with Benugo Bar and Kitchen and Panda Mami restaurants open from 12 noon (check closing times). The Dirty Duck pub in the Students Union is another good option, open from 12 noon till late. The campus grocery store is currently closed at weekends, however there are Tesco and Aldi supermarkets in walking distance. Note there are communal kitchens in Arthur Vick, but no cooking equipment or utensils! So you can only really use those for ready-meals or picnic food (bring a marker pen for labelling!). The library is open 24 hours with quiet workspace (including USB/plug sockets).
