Code optimization in R using the Rcpp package

Finite nature of time/life/funding/patience means that the computation time of your code also needs to be finite. This YRM talk will be an informal, introductory discussion of strategies and techniques that you can use in R to improve performance. Also discussed will RCpp: a very popular and useful package that makes the high-performance language of C++ more accessible for R users.
