Alastair Crossley
I am a final year PhD student in the Mathematics and Statistics CDT at the University of Warwick working under the joint supervision of Professor Andreas Kyprianou and Dr Emma Horton. My research interests lie in the field of probability and stochastic processes and I am involved in MaTHRad (Mathematical Theory of Radiation Transport: Nuclear Technology Frontiers), a five-year interdisciplinary research programme.
Before starting the PhD programme I obtained a MMath in Mathematics from the University of Bath in 2022. My master's thesis is titled "Stochastic Processes in the Theory of Cosmic Rays" and was supervised by Professor Andreas Kyprianou.
Aside from academics, I’m into rugby, CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting. Lately I’ve been dancing salsa and tango. I also play drums for Angel Vile!
