Haokai Xie
I am a first-year PhD student in Statistics at the University of Warwick, supervised by Professor Aleksandar Mijatović. My research interests lie in probability theory and related areas. Currently, I focus on scaling limits of local times at positive levels for Bienaymé–Galton–Watson processes with immigration.
Prior to joining Warwick, I completed my Master's thesis, entitled “What can be recovered from the order of a random process’ increments”, under the supervision of Professor Konstantin Borovkov at the University of Melbourne. This work investigated the extension of a novel method for recovering the Brownian component of Lévy processes using only the rank of increments from observed sample paths.
In the 2025–26 academic year, I am participating in reading groups on Gaussian Multiplicative Chaos and Malliavin Calculus.
