After your degree

After your degree

Destinations of our graduates

Our degrees are highly-regarded by employers and in academia. Many of our graduates continue into postgraduate study, either staying at Warwick or getting accepted into further degrees at other top institutions. Our students progress to a wide-range of courses all around the world, including onto purely mathematical Master's degrees.

Examples of careers and companies that our students have gone on to pursue can be found on the "Careers" tab on the university course page of the relevant degree: MORSE; Mathematics and Statistics; or Data Science. The university hosts a page with the latest updates from our alumni; also see our alumni profiles.

The Discover Uni website has the most recent information about the employment prospects for graduates, including the percentage in employment or further study, and average salary. Our degrees are consistently excellent under these metrics.

How we support you

Discuss your post-degree aspirations in a meeting with your personal tutor, who will be able to help you navigate a path for your academic study. Warwick has an excellent careers service who can guide you through the process of preparing CVs, learning about your career options and looking for jobs. Along with the careers representative for the department, we also organise events to help you hear from potential employers.

The careers service can also help you build your employability skills. The department is particularly involved in the Undergraduate Research Support Scheme (URSS) to enable aspiring researchers to work on a project with a member of staff over the summer, alongside other students from overseas.

Many of our students take the opportunity to find out about potential careers via a spring week or summer internship, or even an intercalated year. The careers service can support you with these options.

Students also benefit from other opportunities and support in their time at Warwick, such as events organised by the Statistics Society, and gaining exemptions from actuarial examinations. Visit our page on studying at Warwick Statistics to find out more.
