Undergraduate courses: MORSE
MORSE
Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics
4-dimensional degrees
MORSE BSc (3 year) and MMORSE (4 year) are mathematics degree courses which integrate the study of pure mathematics and statistics with their applications to economics, finance and management. These are core skills required in modern business analytics.
MMORSE is strongly and widely-valued internationally and makes our graduates highly employable worldwide.
For fifty years, MORSE has been giving students the chance to learn how to apply the most recent developments in mathematics to important challenges in finance and business analytics.
Ultimate flexibility
In the first two years of the degree, you will build mathematical foundations and learn basic concepts in Economics and Operational Research, supplemented by a range of optional modules.
In the final year of MORSE BSc there are no compulsory modules: you have the ultimate flexibility to specialise, or continue to cover a range of material.
The third year of MMORSE helps you establish your speciality, with the fourth (final) year of MMORSE offering a wide range of modules in probability, statistics, economics, operational research and financial mathematics. You also choose a Master's-level dissertation topic from one of these areas.
