English Language Teachers Workshop


 

This form will register you for the free A-level English Language teachers' workshop "Standard English: what it is and what it isn’t" at the University of Warwick on Thursday 26th March 2020 from 10am until 2pm (includes networking lunch). This interactive workshop aims to show you how Standard English developed and became codified over the course of time. We will give practical hands on experience concerning spoken language in the school, written language in the school and how to balance the needs of pupils and the desired outcomes for grammar knowledge of the National Curriculum. There will be sessions concerning what Standard English is and isn't, how to teach it, and how to promote it. If you would like to attend, please fill in this booking form by Thursday 19th March.
