Developing literacy and language across the Yewlands family of schools

The aims of this project are:
  • to develop policy and practice within the Yewlands Family of Schools in the areas of language and literacy development and extension;
  • to begin to develop staff expertise in these areas through action research and continuing professional development activity;
  • to contribute to and develop a progressive skills framework within the Family of Schools, focusing on skills in language and literacy, especially as they relate to learning;
  • to research the process involved in such professional development activities with a view to adapting it as a model for other situations.

There are 3 phases to the project.
