Jen is a Teaching Fellow in the Primary Team. She has experience of teaching in Primary schools and developing the PSHE curriculum. Jen is particularly interested in children’s social, emotional, philosophical and mental health learning.

Prior to a career in primary teaching Jen worked in social care roles for the local authority and in school settings. She is passionate about providing holistic and child-centred approaches to children’s learning experiences. Jen leads on the Whole Curriculum element of the Primary Programme. She provides teaching and quality assurance for the University’s Early Years satellite alliance in Derby. Jen is also an MA supervisor on the MA Education Programme in CTE.
