Sheila Evans

Sheila is a sessional and link tutor on the PGCE EYITT at CTE. As well as delivering teaching sessions, she visits trainee teachers on placement, observing teaching practice, and marking and assessing written reflections. Sheila also provides pastoral support to trainees in her role as a personal tutor.

Professional and Teaching Expertise
Having three children of her own whilst working full time, Sheila was disappointed by existing nursery provision. Changing her career direction, she started her own pre school provision ultimately graded ‘Outstanding’ in every area by Ofsted. She has worked as an Assessor and Tutor for EYPS/EYITT since 2008, joining Warwick in 2015 to support the University’s Early Years Initial Teacher Training programme.

As a graduate of Warwick University and Early years’ teacher herself, Sheila brings to CTE her passionate belief that a graduate led workforce is best equipped to support the first five years of education
