For home identified candidates your DBS will be processed through First Advantage. Once an applicant has accepted an offer, your details will be forward to First Advantage and you will be contacted by them asking you to complete the online application for DBS. Once this has been submitted, you will then be asked to attend a Post Office (where the service is available, usually a Post Office that can do Passport updates) to have your documentation verified and the fee paid, before being submitted to the DBS for the check to be completed. Please see here for full details on the process.
If you have signed up for the update service, following a previous check, we may be able to use this for the DBS check provided it meets the relevant levels as required (e.g. Enhanced DBS Check including the Children’s Barred List). If not you will need to complete a new check. Please check the Disclosures website for further information
For International candidate, you will be asked to send in the necessary documents for a DBS check at interview so that we can do a verification check with you during the interview day. These will then be passed to our Disclosure team when you accept any offer made following interview, we do the check as part of your interview to expedite the process.
