Qualtrics
According to the University website Qualtrics is 'an industry-leading provider of enterprise feedback management and survey software solutions.' The University has recently purchased a site licence for Qualtrics and this is now available for all staff and students to use.
It is recommended that you contact the Qualtrics team in ITS for support BEFORE you start using it as the software is incredibly rich and might put off some users if they are unfamiliar with it. Having used SurveyMonkey or Bristol Online Surveys before will not prepare you for using Qualtrics - the software is far more comprehensive and sophisticated.
When you login to Qualtrics you are presented with what is called your 'My projects' page. Confusingly this is a list of all of your surveys/questionnaires. You can create new surveys, copy existing ones or use a survey template as a starting point.
Question types include the standard options such as multiple choice, text entry or rank order and more specialised question types such as pick, group and run, heat map or drill down. You can include display and skip logic as well as piped entry options.
Qualtrics has all of the standard distribution features to embed your survey in a web page or email it to participants.
Further information about Qualtrics is available here.
