Proposed Mahara upgrade
An upgrade to Mahara had been proposed over the summer however, due to the severity of the Moodle upgrade and other projects IT Services were committed to, it was not possible to upgrade Mahara at that time. The version of Mahara we are currently running is out of security support. This leaves us vulnerable and if there were a security issue we would have to upgrade with little notice.
IT Services have provisionally scheduled Tuesday 12th December 2017 to perform the upgrade. This date will be confirmed in due course.
Please note that the format of Mahara will not change at this point. IT Services will only be rolling out the security upgrade component of the roll out. The style and layout components will be upgraded at the end of the summer term in 2018.
