Moodle Super User Group
As the Senior Academic Technologist in CTE I am a member of this group and the first meeting took place in early January 2018. There were some opportunities for networking and then questions asked about how we might develop the community (this is an ongoing discussion and no decisions were made at the meeting) alongside the more usual service updates:
- Bookable space for personal lecture capture on main campus (more details to follow).
- Boundary microphones installed in WT building around all of the pedestals in the teaching rooms.
- Learning and Teaching Strategy under development - this has a TEL strand which will directly impact the development of the TEL strategy for CTE. Consequently I am waiting to see the first draft of the Learning and Teaching strategy before working further on our strategy.
- Withdrawal of paper scanning services - this links to the project to centralise module evaluations which I will report on in another news item.
