Welcome Week Timetable 2024-25
Here is an overview of your induction timetable. Please carefully note the dates and times of sessions you should attend. We encourage you to participate in as many Welcome events as possible, get involved in the opportunities we offer and get as much out of your first few weeks as you can. More information can be found on the Welcome to Warwick webpages.
Please note that the timetable is subject to minor changes, so please ensure that you keep returning to this page throughout Welcome Week.

10:00-11:30- Student Experience Lecture: Room OC1.05 (Oculus) In this session you will find out more about the activities the Department run to enhance your experience of studying Economics at Warwick. This will also include information about the Personal Development module (PDM) that all students will study in the first year, and the Undergraduate Mentor Scheme. |
12:00-13:00 Campus Orientation Game: Room Butterworth Hall (Warwick Arts Centre) The objective of this game is for you to meet other students on your course and familiarise yourself with the campus. You will be given a list of places on campus to find and an object or activity to do. Once there, your group should take a photo at the location with the requested item or of yourselves doing the activity and upload this to MS Teams here Link opens in a new window or at the following link https://shorturl.at/X3CeY . The first team to upload all their photos will win a prize! |
14:00-15:00 Joint Degree Welcome Session: Room Panorama Please note: This session is only for Joint degree students who have a home department not based in Economics (SLMC, PPE, EPP, Liberal Arts, MORSE,) |

09:00-12:30-Economics Trading Game Campus: Room Panorama (Rootes Building) The Economics Trading Game has been designed to give you the chance to interact with your fellow classmates whilst also seeing economic principles put into practice. This is a fun activity, designed to introduce you to economics concepts, whist making some friends! You will be divided into two groups. Group A's Trading Game will take place from 09:00-10:30. Group B's Trading Game will take place from 11:00-12:30. You will receive an email (to your Warwick email address) to let you know which group you will be in, so please make sure you check this beforehand. Please do come to your allocated session, to ensure we don't exceed room capacity. |
14:30-16:00-Transitioning to University: Room OC1.05 (Oculus) This is a very informative session, which will provide tips to help you transition into University life. You will also receive information on our Maths resources, academic writing skills and Transitioning to University resources. |
17:30-19:00-Welcome Reception: Room Panorama (Rootes Building) This is an opportunity for us to welcome students to the Department of Economics over drinks and nibbles. Meet and mingle with your fellow students and tutors in an informal setting at our Welcome Reception. |
