Module Prerequisites

In your second and final years, you need to take modules totalling 120 CATS — no more, no fewer. However, students studying on GL11 can take up to 150 CATS.

Important Information

Module Codes: First Year modules are EC100, Second Year EC200, and Final Year EC300. You can only take modules coded for your current year, unless your degree regulations allow otherwise.
Quantitative Modules: For modules in mathematical economics, statistics, econometrics, and other technical subjects, check the pre-requisites table below.
EC200 modules: You should have completed EC108 & EC109, or EC106/EC107 or EC136/EC137, plus EC120.
EC300 modules: You should have completed EC201 & EC202, or EC204 or EC238/EC239.
External Students: EC200 modules assume prior completion of relevant EC100 modules; EC300 modules assume relevant EC200 modules. Check with the module webpages for relevant pre-requisites. More detailed queries can be directed to the Economics Undergraduate Office.
