Undergraduate Summer Graduation

We are having an exclusive Graduation Ceremony for Economics and joint Economics students on Saturday 18 July 2015 and hope you will be attending.

Degree ceremony: 3.00-5.00pm; Butterworth Hall, Warwick Arts Centre
Reception: 5.00-7.00pm; Panorama Room, Rootes

The degree ceremony and reception is for students who have studied the straight economics degree or a joint degree programme, such as EPAIS, PPE and Maths and Economics.

We would also like to invite you and your family to attend our Graduation Reception in order to celebrate your achievements with fellow students and staff. We will be enjoying drinks, nibbles and music in the Panorama Room (Rootes) 5-7pm.

Honorary degree: Professor James Robinson

At the degree ceremony, Professor James Robinson will be receiving an honorary degree. He is a University Professor at the University of Chicago and has studied economics at the London School of Economics, the University of Warwick and Yale University.

Professor Robinson is the author of award winning book ‘Why Nations Fail: The Origins of Power’ and will be speaking at our upcoming Summer School.

Robing and Park & Ride

Just for economics on Saturday 18th July, the robing and Park & Ride have both been extended to the following times:

Robing: Return you robe back to the ensemble room, music centre by 7.15pm

Park & Ride: Last bus 7.30pm

Department Photo on Graduation Day

An official department photo will be taken immediately after your Graduation ceremony in the Piazza. Please attend to ensure a good turnout for a lasting memento of your time at University.

Two versions of the photograph are offered - one with mortar boards on heads and one with them thrown up in the air, view example photos.

Orders and payment for the photos are taken at the time of the photograph. Prices are:

  • One photo: £26
  • Both versions: £36
  • Postage: Free UK, £3 EU, £5 non-EU
