This webinar (via MS Teams) is a bespoke application workshop for students applying for Wright Hassall's three legal gap year placement roles. It will showcase best practice in legal application techniques and give you confidence in your legal job applications. The session will combine be a combination of presentation, having-a-go and you are welcome short presentation on creating CVs, covering letters and completing application forms. It will be followed by the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have regarding writing effective applications.

This workshop will cover how to:

• Construct a CV which highlights the skills Wright Hassall are looking for
• Effectively answer the application questions:
  -What skills can you bring to Wright Hassall?
  -Why would you like a gap year placement at Wright Hassall?
• Professionally structure a UK job application cover letter
• Show motivation & other application tips.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

• Construct a 2 side CV tailored for Wright Hassall's gap year role
• Use CV & cover letter design tips to help you with future applications in Law and other Sectors
• Show your motivation, skills and research through a covering letter
• Effectively tailor application answers, to what employers are looking for
• Confidently book an appointment to have your application reviewed by a member of the careers team

To prepare:

1. Print out a copy of the Wright Hassall vacancy to have next to you during the webinar
