Ana Simion: A Deep dive into Regulating Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an area that hasn’t just revolutionised how we live, work and play, but it has additionally created entire industries. With OpenAI’s ChatGPT resulting in a surge of uptake in this technology, there continues to be debate about how AI can be best regulated to ensure it can still deliver cutting edge innovation but not harm society.
Will the principles-based approach the former UK government set out work, or do we need to re-work the EU’s AI Act? In this talk, I’ll share an outline of how we currently regulate AI, how it compares to other countries and my thoughts on how AI regulation may be shaped in the future.
