LLM Conference 2022
Sustainability and the Climate Crisis
The LLM Conference Committee is pleased to announce the 2022 Warwick Law LLM Conference that will be held Monday, 27 June 2022.
This year’s theme is ‘Sustainability and the Climate Crisis’. The theme is in recognition of the LLM cohort’s wide-ranging scholarly interests that coalesce towards addressing the most pressing issues of global concern. To this end, the conference will feature speakers that represent diverse approaches on the theme and confront ensuing challenges.
Confirmed speakers for our opening roundtable include Dr Lorenzo Cotula (International Institute for Sustainable Development) and Professor Lorraine Talbot (Birmingham Law School). The conference offers distinct sessions for LLM students to present their own dissertation plans and receive feedback from faculty members and their peers. This is aimed towards building a supportive and encouraging platform where postgraduate students can enhance their academic skills and benefit from scholarly exchange. There will also be a breakout session with the school’s PhD candidates who will talk about the graduate school experience and share career guidance.
All students on the LLM programme are welcome to sign up for participating and presenting their dissertations in the conference.
