Law School colleagues gain Higher Education Academy recognition

Congratulations to two of our Law School colleagues who have gained Higher Education Academy recognition through the Warwick Academic and Professional Pathway for Experienced Staff (APP EXP).

Dr Van Anh Le - Fellow

Dr Mohsen Al Attar - Senior Fellow

The APP EXP is a continuing professional development programme which has been accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) to confer the status of Associate Fellow, Fellow, Senior Fellow and Principal Fellow.

The HEA is the UK national body which champions teaching quality. Their mission is to support the higher education community in order to enhance the quality and impact of learning and teaching. The fellowships play a key part in this, enabling individuals to demonstrate their expertise and commitment to learning and teaching against the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) at different stages of their career.

Van Ahn told us that “being awarded the Fellows status of HEA is a testimony to my commitment to professionalism in teaching and learning in higher education. I feel really good to achieve the award; but it is the journey towards it that matters in the end. Writing the FHEA submission allowed me to reflect on my pedagogical approach, which was clear that it is highly recognised by my students and colleagues.”

Congratulations to both of them.
