We are thrilled to announce that Professor Sharifah Sekalala, Professor of Global Health Law and Wellcome Trust Investigator at Warwick Law School has been appointed as a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences (FAcSS).

The Academy’s distinguished Fellowship comprises of 1,500 leading social scientists from academia, the public, private and third sectors. Their expertise covers the breadth of the social sciences, and their practice and research address some of the major challenges facing communities, society, places and economies.

Professor Sekalala stated:

"I am delighted to become a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences. With health inequalities becoming more visible, we need to think more critically about the ways in which Law is compounding and redressing these inequalities."
