GLOBE releases new briefing note from Stephen Connelly

The Centre for Law, Regulation and Governance of the Global Economy (GLOBE) today released their first Briefing Note on ‘Registering Security at UK Companies House’.

The note supports Jubilee Debt Campaign’s push for public registration of bank loans to states, by showing how the existing UK regime for registration of company debentures works and could form the basis for a system of loan registration.

Dr Alison Struthers responds to Independent Commission for Countering Extremism call for “national conversation on extremism.”

Warwick Law's Dr Alison Struthers is co-author of one of eight peer-reviewed papers published today by the Independent Commission for Countering Extremism. Dr Struthers and Dr Diane Webber, Visiting Fellow in the Center on National Security and the Law at Georgetown University, evaluate the effectiveness of teaching so-called “Fundamental British Values” in schools as a means to counter extremism.

Dr Andi Hoxhaj's new book offers fresh insights into EU anti-corruption policy with a particular focus on the EU Anti-Corruption Report of 2014, and argues that recent changes in approach may put the EU’s achievements in this area at risk by viewing corruption purely as an economic problem. The EU Anti-Corruption Report: A reflexive governance approach presents an in-depth study of successes and failures in the evolution of a European-wide anti-corruption programme and analyses the development of anti-corruption as a policy field in the European Union.

New co-edited publication from Dr John Snape

Warwick Law School Associate Professor and GLOBE Member, Dr John Snape, and University of Cambridge Lecturer and fellow of Christ’s College, Dr Dominic de Cogan have, in January 2019, published with Hart their new edited book Landmark Cases in Revenue Law. Publication Success for Current PhD

Congratulations to our current PhD student and GLOBE Centre administrator Julie Mansuy on her recent publication. Julie is second author on a co-publication with our former colleague Tomaso Ferrando on ‘The European Action against Food Loss and Waste: Co-Regulation and Collisions on the Way to the Sustainable Development Goals’ which was published on the 6 November 2018 in the Yearbook of European Law.
