A socio-legal researcher with a strong interdisciplinary focus, Madeleine (Maddy) Millar works at the intersection of Psychology and Law. Drawing on her knowledge and experience of using both quantitative and qualitative methods, she conducts empirical research that explores legal decision-making and associated biases in legal judgements. Through her PhD research and broader academic work, Maddy aims to explore dynamics of the jury and contribute to evidence-based insights which support more equitable legal processes. Alongside her jury work, Maddy engages with broader questions in legal psychology, contributing to research on decision-making, bias, and fairness in legal processes more generally.
