EUIPO and EPO opportunities
Warwick University is delighted to have been selected as a Pan-European Seal (PES) Partner University, enabling our final year Undergraduate and Postgraduate students and graduates to apply for a traineeship with the European Patent Office (EPO) and EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) beginning in September 2026.
There is more information below about timelines and eligibility.

EUIPO Pan-European Seal Trainee programme (one year)
The role is open to PG and UG graduates (final year students can apply but candidates should have obtained their degree by the start of the programme (mid-September 2026) but not before January 2024.
The role is in-person based in Alicante, Brussels or Luxembourg.
It is for one year but selected applicants can extend by one year.
Salary conditions around € 1 300 EUR net monthly with some contribution to travel expenses (in case of extension for an additional 12-month period the grant is increased).

- Certificate(s) of completion of at least one of the following courses is highly recommended (Access the courses

EPO PES Young Professional Programme
- The role is open to PG and UG graduates (final year students can apply but must have obtained their degree before the start of the programme).
- The role is hybrid and in-person attendance may be allocated in one of their offices in Munich, The Hague, Berlin, Vienna, and Brussels.
- It is for one year but selected applicants can extend to three years.
- The pay is Salary conditions around €2,300 net monthly in the first year, rising each year.
Who can apply to the EPO scheme
- National of an EPO member state (proof of passport or ID card is required)
- Bachelor degree or higher from Warwick University or other EPO partner (Candidates can have graduated at any point in the past but must have obtained the degree before the programme start (15.09.2026).
