Please express your interest in participating in subsidised online mediation training. Dates are flexible.
For further information, contact Prof Jane Bryan (jane.bryan@warwick.ac.uk).
There are two forms of training currently available. It is advisable to only take one of the training options as there is significant overlap.
Recognising the growing importance of mediation within litigation, Warwick Law School has negotiated heavily discounted nationally and internationally accredited online Mediation Training for Warwick students, staff and guests. The course is five days, online and is accredited by the Civil Mediation Council (CMC) and the International Mediation Institute (IMI). The training is delivered by Emma McAndry, Director of Essential Mediation Solutions, who was awarded Fellowship of the CMC in recognition of her ‘extensive mediation experience’ and won Mediation Trainer of the Year at the National Mediation Awards 2022, presented at the House of Commons. Delegates will learn the theory of conflict and mediation principles, how to mediate from start to finish, invaluable transferable communication skills and mediator techniques, with lots of fun interactive exercises and role play practice.
For those who want to know how to represent a client and negotiate in an effective manner in mediation, with practice. Very relevant for future lawyers.
