PRESENTERS: Celinda Lake, President, Lake Research Partners (Celinda’s bio is here: http://www.lakeresearch.com/people/president.asp) Celinda Lake is one of the Democratic Party's leading political strategists, serving as tactician and senior advisor to the national party committees, dozens of Democratic incumbents, and challengers at all levels of the electoral process. She has advised democratic parties in Eastern Europe and South Africa, and in 2008 worked as pollster for Vice President Joe Biden. Ed Goeas, President and CEO of The Tarrance Group (Ed’s bio is attached) Ed Goeas is one of the US’s leading Republican political strategists. In the 2008 election cycle he served on the polling team and provided strategic counsel for the McCain Presidential campaign, was Program Director of the 2008 Republican National Convention, and is credited with wins for six new Governors, four U.S. Senators, and fifty-three Members of the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2010 elections. For 20 years, Ed and Celinda have worked together to produce the national “Battleground Poll” for George Washington University and political news organisation POLITICO, work which won a distinguished service award in 2011.
