Politics-related jobs - what is the "toolkit" that students need to acquire?
One of the key questions that students often have about potential careers in politics, whether in the public or private sectors, is what are the key skills they will need. Building from recent seminars on political-related employment opportunities, this talk will look into the "tool kit" that practitioners use in wide ranging politics jobs. The talk will include an extended case study of how scenario planning can be used -with an example of some recent political and economic scenarios developed on the "World in 2030".
Held on November 25 from 5pm to 6pm, this latest talk will be held under "Chatham House rules" with Andrew Hammond, a Visiting Fellow at Warwick University. Andrew is a former UK Government Special Adviser, working for three former Cabinet Ministers, but has worked most of his career in the private sector.
