Lucy Cannon (Mooring) awarded runner up award from BISA

Lucy Rebecca Cannon (Mooring) has been awarded the runner-up prize from The British International Studies Association (BISA) aimed at early career scholars, and awarded by their colonial, postcolonial and decolonial working group.

The paper was based on her master's dissertation at Warwick as part of the MA In Social Research Studies (Politics) funded by the ESRC. Lucy's paper 'This Land, My sister, is a Woman’ – Understanding the role of Social Reproduction in Palestine, traces the importance of care and social reproduction amidst the ongoing genocide through the framework of both settler colonialism and feminist political economy. It looks at the importance of social reproduction as a means of resistance for Palestinian women and the role of social media in highlighting these forms of labour. Lucy has been invited to Belfast in June to present her paper.
