Profile

I joined PAIS in December 2024 as a Research Fellow on the Open Research Area (ORA7) funded Inclusive Peace project in collaboration with the ESRC (UK), SSHRC (Canada), ANR (France/New Caledonia) and JSPS (Japan).

I received my PhD in Sociology from the University of Aberdeen and have undertaken post-doctoral research at Queen’s University Belfast and University College Dublin.

My research interests revolve around the sociology of childhood and youth with a particular focus on education and peace. In my most recent role at University College Dublin (2020-2024) I worked on mixed-methods longitudinal studies on schooling, gender equality and children's rights in Ireland and Sierra Leone. I have also been involved in a number of projects developing and evaluating interventions in peacebuilding and educational attainment in Ireland, the UK and internationally.
