On 28-30 of September, we held an online Nvivo training workshop in collaboration with our project partners at the University of Ibadan. Over 700 people from different countries in Europe and Africa registered for this training. The participants learned the practical steps for coding qualitative data and our Lead Research Fellow drew upon her experience in the project to further outline the pitfalls in the coding process as well as the steps that can help in addressing them.

We have now finished the initial coding for our Phase 1 interviews with IDPs and Stakeholders in Northern Nigeria. Very excited to begin coding the interviews from South Sudan!

We are very pleased to introduce Dr Silvia De Michelis who is the newest member of the D&D team. Silvia recently obtained a PhD from the Department of Peace Studies and International Development at the University of Bradford. Her research has focused on cultural imperialism and peacebuilding and she supports with the analysis of interview data. A warm welcome to the project, Dr De Michelis!
