On 14 April 2018 Professor Nick Vaughan-Williams presented the findings of the 'Border Narratives' project at the 2018 European Public Policy Conference hosted by the EU Commission Representation in Sofia, Bulgaria. The theme of the 2018 conference, organised by the Hertie School of Governance, Berlin, was 'Borders in Transition: Creating, Removing, Reimagining'. The panel was entitled 'Migration Narratives Between Security and Integration in the EU' and also featured Jessica Bither from the German Marshall Fund of the US.
