End-of-Year Conference & Celebration
The end-of-year conference is a chance for students to present and discuss work that they have enjoyed developing throughout the year in a welcoming, informal, and supportive environment. It offers a chance to exchange ideas with other students and staff, gain experience presenting philosophical research, and further develop and demonstrate oral presentation skills. The event traditionally concludes with a BBQ to celebrate the end of the academic year.
Registration for these events is not required. However, if you have any dietary requirements, please indicate them on the form below by 17th June 2026 so that we can ensure suitable food options are available for you.
Conference 25-26
This year's conference theme is Reasons and Feelings. The theme is chosen to showcase work on issues of contemporary social significance, embracing the role of philosophy in understanding, critiquing, and re-imagining social norms.
If you would like to present, please send 1) a provisional title, and 2) a short abstract (just a few sentences explaining your topic) to Lorenzo (Lorenzo.Serini@warwick.ac.uk) by Monday 1st June.
BBQ
The BBQ will take place directly after the conference, from 1-3pm in the Social Sciences Courtyard (weather permitting).
All staff and students are welcome to attend the BBQ, regardless of whether they have attended the conference. If you have dietary requirements, please fill out the form below by 17th June.
This form is now closed and no longer accepting submissions. You can still attend the event if you have not registered, however, please be aware that we may not be able to cater for dietary requirements that were not declared in advance. Please get in touch with us at PhilosophyOffice@warwick.ac.uk if you have any further questions.
