WCPC 2019 conference roundtable on Michel Foucault. Wednesday 26th June, 2019, 5 pm – 7 pm (UK time), University of Warwick.
Featuring Claudia Stein (Warwick), Amadeo Policante (Warwick), Stuart Elden (Warwick), Daniele Lorenzini (Saint-Louis – Bruxelles) and Martina Tazzioli (Swansea).
The roundtable is generously supported by the Centre Michel Foucault and will focus on Foucault and Problematisation.

WCPC 2019 conference roundtable with Philosophy in a Time of Crisis. Thursday 27th June, 2019, 5 pm – 7 pm (UK time), University of Warwick.
A roundtable discussion of crisis in philosophy and other disciplines with Miguel de Beistegui (Warwick), Amedeo Policante (Warwick), Federico Testa (Warwick/Monash) and Andrew Cooper (Warwick) representing the collective project Philosophy in a Time of Crisis, a collective research project based at the University of Warwick. The project promotes philosophy as an essential tool for reflection upon the major crises and challenges of our time, and the meaning and nature of crisis itself.
The roundtable will focus upon the concept of crisis and its role in both philosophy and other disciplines.
Keynote: Andrew Benjamin

A keynote presentation Potentially, Relationality and the Problem of Actualisation from Andrew Benjamin (Kingston/University of Technology, Sydney).
Professor Benjamin’s career began as a lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Warwick, UK, where he was later Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Centre for Research in Philosophy and Literature. He has also been Visiting Professor of Architectural Theory at Columbia University, New York, US, Visiting Critic at the Architectural Association in London, UK, and Professor of Critical Theory in the Centre for Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies at Monash University and at the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. He is also a recurrent visiting professor at the Centre for Cultural Studies, Goldsmiths, and a fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities.
