Profile

I am a second year PhD student, supervised by Dr Emily Gray and Dr Silvia Gomes. I completed my MSc in Criminal Justice and Criminology at the University of Derby, where I researched the impact of bereavement by homicide and interactions with the Criminal Justice System.

My PhD project is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and explores the lived experience of being bereaved by homicide. Qualitative data will be collected through narrative interviews with members of the UK charity Support After Murder and Manslaughter. Autoethnography is another research method for this study. My MSc dissertation is the pilot for a larger scale project at PhD level.
