She received a 1st class honours degree in Criminology at Birmingham City University, alongside a first-class dissertation titled “Exploring the prevalence of personality disorders associated with childhood trauma and criminal behaviour”.

Her PhD research focuses on exploring the racial experiences of students and academics that identify with a Mixed White and South Asian Ethnic Background. Conducted via Narrative Inquiry and semi-structured interviews, her research explores how this particular demographic navigates between their Mixed Ethnic Identities within the British Education System and British Academia. This PhD research project is in conjunction with the research cluster the "Race XChange" alongside 5 other PhD students. The overall aims of the Race XChange is to tackle structural and institutional racism, and how to improve the lack of representation and experiences of those that identify with an Ethnic Minority Background.
