Finn Lees

PhD Candidate

Profile

I am a fourth year ESRC funded PhD student in the Warwick Department of Sociology. My project, The Politics of Hunt Sabotage, is an ethnographic study of direct action anti-blood sports groups in Britain who continue to disrupt fox hunts 20 years after such hunting was officially banned. My research explores the organisation and structure of these groups, as well as using their practices to shed light on wider issues surrounding the politics of human-animal relations; social division in the ongoing culture wars; and the role of visual media in forming political subjectivities.

My supervisors are Nickie Charles and Steve Fuller.
