Warwick Business School and its Gillmore Centre for Financial Technology has joined forces with West Midlands body SuperTech to launch a roadmap for the tech sector that aims to deliver thousands of jobs and add £1.5 billion to the regional economy over the next 10 years.

The West Midlands is now recognised as one of three FinTech hubs in the UK, according to a new report revealing that the sector supports more than 11,000 jobs in the region.

The Impact Report, commissioned by SuperTech, the UK’s only tech supercluster founded in the West Midlands, also highlighted how Birmingham and the region’s FinTech businesses have generated £474m in economic output, and are on track to achieve £1bn.
