With a new web interface and file transfer utility, it has become even easier to send, receive, share, and access your files from anywhere with Files.Warwick.
- Use Files.Warwick on-line, or through Windows Explorer or Mac Finder with the file transfer utility, to access your files anywhere; at home, work or whilst away.
- Create, move, delete, rename and copy folders and files.
- Send and receive files up to 250MB.
- Share your files and folders by letting others see and contribute to them.
- Request a group file space for your team project, research group or collaboration.

Hoax email requesting account details
A number of people are receiving an email, which purports to be from the University, requesting that the user confirms their email account details (including password). This is a “phishing” email and is an attempt to capture personal information. You should not provide the details to this site.
If you have provided your details, you should change your password as soon as possible, please contact the IT Services Helpdesk for advice on 73737. The text of the email is as follows:

Dear Staff/Student
This message is from the Webmail IT Service messaging center to all subscribers/webmail users. We are currently upgrading our data base and e-mail center due to an unusual activities identified in our email system. We are deleting all unused Webmail Accounts. You are required to verify your webmail account by confirming your Webmail identity. This will prevent your Webmail account from been closed during this exercise.
In order to confirm you Web-Mail identity, you are to provide the following data; First Name:
Last Name:
Username/ID:
Password:
Date of Birth:

Please provide all these information completely and correctly otherwise due to security reasons we may have to close your account temporarily.

New IT Services home page launched
The new homepage allows for:
- Access to quick answers for the questions you most often ask us
- In depth browsing of services and FAQs, including a new page allowing access to all FAQs at once
- An 'at a glance' calendar showing work that we have planned
- Continued use of our 'traffic light' service status list
Internet Explorer security concerns
Disruption to internet connection 16 December 07:00 to 08:00
Crocus unavailable 30 December between 09:00 and 11:00
Further to customer feedback, the planned downtime for this server has been moved from the 16th to the 30th of December.
Crocus is a complex server which is responsible for delivering a wide range of services, including many departmental specific applications and web sites. To maximise space and cooling in the University House Machine room, this server needs to be moved to a new location.
