Remote Desktop: Upcoming Changes
We've taken the decision not to enable Remote Desktop by default on the new Managed Windows 7 Desktop. This will stop anyone connecting to a Managed Windows 7 Desktop via Microsoft Remote Desktop, aka "RD", "RDP", "RDC", "Terminal Services" or "TS", unless they have specifically requested access.
Computer Security Investigation and Incident Response Team
The Computer Security Investigation and Incident Response Team (CSIIRT) have been set up to gather electronic evidence for an ongoing investigation, for example when there has been a breach of the University’s Information Security Policy or a contravention of the University’s regulations. If you want technical assistance with an investigation which has an electronic element (email, disk forensics etc) please contact the IT Services Helpdesk on 73737 or email csiirt at warwick dot ac dot uk

Connection and use of campus network
With the start of a new-term upon us, a reminder that there are several University Policies governing the use of computers.
New Network Connection Policy
The Network Connection Policy aims to manage the risk to the University's network posed by unauthorised networking equipment, including wireless access points. If networking equipment is installed incorrectly, or without IT Services' knowledge and approval, it may easily damage the network and impact service for all customers.
